Otto Gerlach
IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO — Otto Gerlach, 63, died Thursday in a local hospital after an illness. Born Nov. 13, 1897, in East Prussia to Rudolph and Bertha Stanger Gerlach. He was a bridge and ship builder in Germany in early manhood. Married Amelia Weiss, 1922, Roven, Prussia. Came to America in 1928, to Idaho Falls in 1952 from Rochester, N.Y. Active in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors: widow, daughter, Mrs. Elfreida Palmer, Hyrum, Utah' sons, Fred and Harry Gerlach, Salt Lake City; Henry, San Diego, Calif., and Ernest, Idaho Falls; two brothers, four sisters in Germany: 29 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Funeral Monday, 10 a.m., Fourteenth LDS Ward Chapel. Burial, Hyrum Cemetery.
