BRUCH, John Donald "Don," 84, of Richmond, returned to our Lord Tuesday, May 8, 2018. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jessica Elizabeth Bruch. Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gail Bruch; children, Christopher (Blair), Stephen (Kimie), Susan Trenkle (Mike), Amy Shifflett and Jennifer Carroll (Stephen); 11 grandchildren; brother, Robert A. Bruch (Mary) of Bluefield, W.Va.; and many other family and friends. Don was a loving spouse, a devoted father and grandfather, who adored his grandchildren. He worked for over 35 years for Thalhimers Department Stores. He was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and was a current member of St. Mary Catholic Church. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 13, at Bliley's-Central, 3801 Augusta Ave., where a Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 noon Monday, May 14, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 800 S. Cathedral Place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart or a charity of your choice.
