Edrie Pauline 'Pat' Cooper, 91, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, in a Ballinger hospital. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008, in North Main Street Church of Christ in Winters with Jordan Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in Crews Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home in Tuscola.

Pat was born May 2, 1917, in Cooper, Texas, to Joe and Myrtle Speak Lacy. She married James Earl Cooper June 2, 1942, in Irving. The couple have lived in the Winters area since 1946. She worked with her husband on the family farm and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Winters Riding Club and North Main Street Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Larry Cooper; four brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include her husband, J. E. Cooper of Winters; two sons, Ronnie Bennett of Denard, Arkansas, and Ray Cooper and wife Sherry of San Angelo; one daughter, Brenda Chambliss and husband Richard of Winters; one sister, Wilma Baxter of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one brother, Lanny Lacy of Granbury; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
