Betty Lucille Bowman, 84, of Catlin, Illinois, passed away at 7:20 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2018, at Liberty Estates, Danville, Illinois.

Betty was born November 8, 1933 in Tilton, Illinois to Elmer and Alice Bolser Gibson. She married Donald John Bowman on January 24, 1954 in Danville. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2009.

Surviving are two sons, Brent Bowman of Catlin and Brian (Terri) Bowman of Hendersonville, Tennessee; one granddaughter, Lauren Bowman of Catlin and one great-grandson, Cash Johnson of Catlin.

Betty was a secretary at South View Middle School for 15 years. She was a member of Catlin Methodist Church. She served on the Catlin Library Board.

She was a member of the Bunko card club, playing with the same players for 50 years. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. She loved watching the Illinois basketball games.
