LOUISE CURLEY
February 17, 1913 ~ October 31, 1882

Funeral services for Louise Packnett Curley, 69, of Idabel, are scheduled at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Coffey-Ruiz Chapel with Rev. Rueben Ruiz officiating.

Curley died Sunday in Texarkana, Tx. Born Feb. 17, 1913 in Eagletown, she had lived all her life in McCurtain County except during her nurses training at Ft. Defiance, Ariz., and extended nurses training at Ardmore.

Curley was a nurse at the old Williams Hospital for Dr. Woodrow Williams and Dr. R.D. Williams. She later became a nurse for Dr. Woodrow Williams in his clinic and in various nursing homes in Idabel.

Serving McCurtain County as a nurse since 1943, she was forced to retire in 1976 because of health reasons.

Curley was baptized in the Eagletown Methodist Church and attended various churches after moving to Idabel. She attended the Church of the Open Door after its opening.

She is survived by one son, Arlis Curley of Houston, Tx.; two brothers, Jack Packnett of Eagletown and Jesse Packnett of Alturas, Calif., and one sister, Doris Nicodemus of Fremont, Calif.

Burial in the Denison Cemetery and arrangements are under the direction of Coffey-Ruiz Funeral Home.
