Bubba worked as cook for various restaurants in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He worked at La Hacienda in WI and also at the A & W and Arrowwood Deck Bar. He most recently worked at Elden’s Fresh Foods.
Bubba loved kids and interacting with them. He was even known to put on a Santa suit, that went along with his natural white beard and listen to children whisper all the toys and presents they wanted Santa to bring to them on Christmas. Bubba was always a friendly and kind man. He had a great sense of humor and was always ready to tell a joke. Bubba loved hunting and especially fishing. He also loved playing card games, poker and make jewelry with his wife Karen and daughter Carman. Recently he became involved with New Life Christian Church where he attended bible studies and church events.
Bubba died on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Bethany on the Lake in Alexandria at the age of 63 years old. He is survived by his wife, Karen Aspseter of Alexandria; sons, Mardy Aspseter of WI, Corey Shock of St. Cloud, and Andy Aspseter of Osakis; daughter Carman of Alexandria; and a sister Bonnie Hoffman of CO. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 11 AM at the New Life Christian Church in Alexandria.
A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Interment will be in the Minnesota State Veteran Cemetery at Camp Ripley, MN.
Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
