James E. "Bo" Brown was the son of the late Ira Oscar Brown and Anna Marie Bonner Brown and husband of the late Edna Lavender Brown.

A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, Bo retired from Southern Railway. Along with his wife, he served with the Red Cross for 20 years, was a member of Skylyn United Methodist Church, Beaumont Masonic Lodge, and a lifetime member of the VFW.

Survivors include his children,a son, two daughters, and one brother.
Burial, with military rites, will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
