Helen never married and had no children. She was a good accountant, working for Western Power & Gas Company in Lincoln for many years. She enjoyed travel, including great distances by car with her sister Joy when young and visited Europe as well. Her brother Owen served in the U.S. Army and died of flu during WWI. Siblings George and (Mary) Joy Rose were living in San Jose, California when Helen passed away. There is a family plot in her birthplace of Kimball, South Dakota but she apparently chose to be interned in Lincoln where she had a close lady friend for many years.
