Juanita Mae Tincknell, 92, of Parsons, passed away at 2:02 a.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

She was born May 13, 1925 in Trousdale, Kansas to James Casper and Charlotte Gertrude (Belmey) Monaghan. She grew up and attended school in Trousdale where she later graduated from high school.

She and Otto W. Elmore were married August 17, 1946. Following marriage, the couple farmed south of Morehead, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1987.

On December 29, 1988, she and Conard W. “Junior” Tincknell were married in Miami, Oklahoma. After marriage, they lived in Morehead and farmed until moving to Dennis. He preceded her in death on September 2, 2001. Juanita had lived in Parsons since April of 2004.

While living on the farm, Juanita loved driving the tractor and tending to her farm animals. She also enjoyed playing cards and painting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and nine sisters.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Private burial will be in Morehead Cemetery.
