RITES TOMORROW IN HEMET FOR WILLIAM THOMAS SMEDLEY
Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow, December 19, 1967 in the Memorial Chapel of the Greenlawn-McWane Funeral Home in Hemet,CA for William Thomas "Tom" Smedley, 74, who died Saturday, December 16, 1967 at the local hospital. The Rev. Eldred Merrell of the Jehovah's Witnesses, will officiate, and interment will be in San Jacinto Valley Cemetery.
Mr. Smedley was a native of Arkansas, born July 22, 1893 in AR. He had been a local resident for 12 years, and had lived in this state for 45 years.
He leaves his widow, Nora Sylvia (Todd) Smedley, of the home address, 351 East Seventh Street, San Jacinto,CA; son, William Henry "Bill" Smedley of Holtville,CA; daughters, Mrs. Autie Nadine Davis of El Centro,CA, Mrs. Maudie Leona Jones of Holtville,CA and Mrs. Thelma Aree Chiever of Beaumont; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
