The funeral for Claude Harrison Kays, a former Louisvillian and a retired blacksmith for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at W.G. Hardy Shively Funeral Home, 4101 Dixie Highway. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Kays, 74, died last Monday in General Hospital, Cincinnati, where he had lived several years. He was born in Washington County, Ky.

Surviving are a son, Robert H. Kays; two daughters, Mrs. James Neigg, Orange, Cal., and Mrs. Margie Mackey, Woodland Hills, Cal.; two sisters, Mrs. L.B. Carney, Bloomfield, and Mrs. D.P. Cheatham, Springfield, Ky.; a brother, John Kays, Williamsburg, Ky.
