John W. Walker. 82, of Tuppers Creek, died Tuesday at his home after a long illness. He was a member of Two Mile Grove Baplist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Pliney, three sons, Breman, Robert and Basil Walker of Tuppers Creek, seven daughters, Mrs. Gladys Baldwin, Mrs. Lorena Boggess, Mrs. Cleo Tate, Mrs. Catherine High and Mrs. Violet Oxley of Charleston Route 5, Mrs. Mammie Boggess of Charleston and Mrs. Lela Moore of Cleveland Ohio: one sister, Mrs. Rosa Newhouse of Cleveland; two brothers, Enos Walker of Charleston Route 5 and Phillip Walker of Charleston; 28 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. in Silas Gospel Tabernacle on Tuppcrs Creek with the Rev. Otis Caldwell and Shirley Hammack officiating. Burial will be in the family cemetery on Tuppers Creek.
The body was to be taken to the residence today at 3 p. m. from the Cunningham Funeral Home
