Deceased was born March 5, 1804, in the state of Vermont; baptized, together with her husband, in 1830, by Hyrum Smith, and confirmed by the Prophet Joseph Smith, Jr.
Sister DeMill and her husband passed through all the persecutions to which the Saints have been subjected. Her entire life was a testimony of the truth. She and Brother DeMill were the oldest members of the church.

Anna Knight (DeMill) was born March 5, 1804 in Plattekill, New York to Polly Peck and Joseph Knight Sr. She married Freeborn DeMill March 11, 1819 in Colesville, New York.
To this union seven children were born: Mariah DeMill, Orpha DeMill, Lora Ann DeMill, Oliver DeMill, Adelia DeMill, Elias DeMill and Lovina Esther DeMill.
