Delores Applegate, 80, was born December 3, 1937 according to the Commonwealth, but December 7 according to her mother. A native of Mason County, she moved to Lexington in 1968. She was a mother of six, a business owner, and a lifetime Wildcat fan. She became a self-taught landscape designer, whose projects brighten and bring shade to every corner of Lexington today. She was predeceased by her parents, Glen and Jennie Lou Applegate; a son, Andrew Eubanks; and 5 siblings. She is survived by five daughters, Cindy Stoops (Dean), Virginia Douglas (Don), Ruth Spencer (Gilly), Teri Kelly (Chris), and Delena Spencer; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Tom Applegate (Linda). Burial will follow at Olivet Methodist Church Cemetery in Orangeburg, Kentucky.
