"George Albert Staehle was born December 24,1866. He was the son of John Christian and Catherine Warnick Staehle. My Great-Grandmother Louisa Staehle Gross, married to William F Gross of 837 North Center Street Pottsville, was George's sister." - Karen Measel

1900 Census: Living in Lebanon, Labanon County, Pa. with his wife Anna. Working as a Mill Laborer.

Marion Bauchop, neice, remembered that he drove a big white truck/wagon with 4 - 5 horses down Centre Street in Ashland, Pennsylvania for beer delivery. Known as "Uncle Al".

1930 Census: No occupation. 631 Centre St.

Schuylkill County Historical Society (compiled newspaper deaths): George A. Staehle, 74, Ashland, died 12-27-1940.

Raye Robinson, neice, remembered the Staehle family had a bakery adjacent to their home on Centre St. in Ashland where the Bell Atlantic building now stands. She rememebered the family rented out some of their property to the American Markets Co. (ACME) after George STAEHLE died. Marion remembered the same, but she remembered it earlier then 1940, the year George Staehle died.
