Wesley A. Casey was born 1841 in Arkansas (probably Carroll County) to Jesse E. and Martha "Patsy" Coe Casey.
He married Saleeta Woodward on 7 November 1858 in Newton County, Arkansas.
He enlisted in the Union Army at Clarksville, AR and was mustered into Co. E., 2nd Regiment of Arkansas Vols. at Fort Smith, AR 25 February 1864.
He died of pneumonia in Clarksville, AR on 27 May 1864.
Saleeta married Samuel K. Nicholas 18 September 1867 and they moved to Healdton, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory. Saleeta died 12 December 1918 and is buried in Healdton, Carter County, Oklahoma in Mount Olive Cemetery.
Wesley Allen and Saleeta Woodward were the parents of three children:
(1) Martha Elizabeth Casey born 1 February 1860 in Newton County, Arkansas. She married Thomas Theophilouss Shelton 8 November 1877 in Johnson County, Arkansas. Martha and Thomas Shelton were the parents of 12 children. Martha died 19 May 1926 in Westbrook, Mitchell County, Texas and is buried in the Westbrook Cemetery.
(2) Dennis Casey was born 6 December 1861 in Newton County, Arkansas and died July 1864.
(3) Jessie Casey was born 13 December 1862 in Newton
