Etta was born on October 2nd 1928 in Peru, N.Y., she was the daughter of MaryEtta and Edmund Annis.
Etta graduated from Peru Central School in 1945.
Following that, she went to nursing school at Booth Memorial Hospital in New York City, N.Y. It was there she began her nursing career following graduation.
In 1950, she married Richard Farleigh, who she met in Plattsburgh, N.Y.
She moved to Ridgefield, N.J., where she lived for several years.
In 1956, she and Richard moved their family to Glens Falls, N.Y. In 1968, she and Richard became Owners of Spotlight Printing, where she assisted in the daily operations until her husband’s unexpected death in 1972.
Etta went on to a Nursing Position at the Fort Hudson Nursing Center in Fort Edward, N.Y., where she worked for many years.
Among her many enjoyments were bowling, camping, Shirley Temple movies, and panning for gold.
Her faith was an important part of her life, and she attended the First Baptist Church in South Glens Falls, N.Y. for many years, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.
Along with her husband; she was predeceased by fifteen sisters and brothers.

Burial at the Pine View Cemetery on Quaker Road in Queensbury, N.Y. is private.
