KEESEVILLE — Mildred
Leona Rock, 83, of Plattsburgh,
died Sunday, Nov. 9, 1997, at
Evergreen Valley Nursing Home
in Plattsburgh.
She was born in Peru, Sept. 2,
1914.
She married Victor Rock on
June 4, 1935, in Peru. He died in
1977.
Mrs. Rock was a housewife for
many years, and enjoyed sewing,
crocheting and embroidering.
Survivors include four daughters
and two sons-in-law, Viola
Pray of Keeseville, Leona and
Sherman Spooner of Vermont,
Helen and Gerald Blaise of
Keeseville, and Barbara Springer
of Keeseville; two sons and a
daughter-in-law, Norman and
Elise Rock of Delaware, and
George Rock of Keeseville; two
brothers, Edmond Annis Jr., and
Theodore Annis, both of Peru; four
sisters and a brother-in-law, Anna
Everhart of New Jersey, Margaret
and Jim Walker of Peru, Elise
Manor of Beekmantown and Etta
Farley of Glens Falls; 26 grandchildren,
46 great-grandchildren,
and 6 great-great-grandchildren;
and several nieces and nephews.
Family members who died earlier
include her husband, a daughter,
Lillian (Raider) Wilkins in
1994, three brothers, Limewood,
Donald, and Floyd Annis, and two
sisters, Shirley Doty and Loretta
Rock.
Calling hours will be Tuesday,
from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday,
from 10 to 11 a.m. at the
Hamilton Funeral Home,
Keeseville.
Funeral services will be held
Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at the
funeral home. Burial will follow in
the Evergreen Cemetery,
Keeseville.
