Elbert Ray Russell, 86, of 184 Old Midland Trail, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Saturday evening April 21, 2018 at his residence.

Born January 9, 1932 in Wolf County, KY, a son of the late Clarence and Martha Ann Whisman Russell. He was the widower of the late Charlotte Kidd Russell and was a retired pipe fitter and a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include 2 sons, Robert Russell and his wife Kim and Danny Russell and his wife Teresa, all of Morehead, KY, 1 sister, Irene Pelfrey of Campton, KY, 2 brothers, Byrl Russell and his wife Debbie of Morehead, KY and E.M. Russell and his wife Shelby of Dayton, OH, 3 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews including special niece, Kathy Richardson and special nephew Randy Russell. Also surviving are his special beloved pets, Katie and Feebie.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday April 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM, at Jones Cemetery with Bro. Rob Rice officiating. There will be no public visitation. Military Honors will be performed at the graveside by Morehead American Legion Post #126.
