Lee Jackson Russell, 86, of Midland, passed away Saturday December 1, 2012 at his residence.
Born in Wolf County, KY March 22, 1926, he was the son of the late Clarence and Anna Whisman Russell. Mr. Russell was a retired construction worker and was a WWII Army veteran with the 134th Infantry Division.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Bob Russell, John Russell and Lawrence Russell and 1 sister, Agnes Conley.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Patsy Wright Russell, 1 son, Randy Russell and his wife Tammy, 1 daughter, Kathy Richardson and her husband Buddy, a granddaughter, Christy Ferrell and her husband Patrick, 3 great-grandsons, Dylan, Ethan and Owen Clay Ferrell, 3 brothers, E.M. Russell, Elbert Russell, and Byrl Russell, 1 sister, Irene Pelfrey, several nieces and nephews and special caregiver, Phyllis Gayhart.
Grave side services will be conducted Monday December 3, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Bath County Memorial Gardens in Midland with Rev. Bush Stevenson officiating. Visitation will be Monday December 3 from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at the Midland First Church Of God. Military Honors will be provided by Morehead American Legion Post #126. Powell Funeral Home will be caring for the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Midland First Church Of God or St. Claire Hospice.
