Kathryn Kunkel, 79, of Meridian, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017.

What a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. A graduate of Houghton College in New York state with a science degree, she taught high school chemistry and biology. She and her husband Don then went to work with Village Missions pastoring churches in rural America, and also doing representative work for the mission. Together, they served with Village Missions for 50 years.

She had a heart for teens and enjoyed being a part of the Special Education Dept at Meridian High School. She also had the privilege of having many Bible studies with women throughout Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

Kathryn was a loving, personable, gracious and intelligent woman who had 60 wonderful years with her husband Don. She has left a legacy of love with son Don, his wife Michele, two grandchildren Darcy and Maryl and four greatgrands.

Her family will miss her greatly! A son, Jon, preceded her in death and he has greeted her in God's eternity.

In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Lighthouse Hospice in Meridian, Idaho.

A graveside celebration will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Dry Creek Cemetery.
