Katie Irene McGee
Funeral services for Katie Crocker McGee, 69, were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 24, in the Ott & Lee Chapel in Forest. Rev. Danny Moss officiated. Interment was made in the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Newton County.
Mrs. McGee passed away on Friday, January 23, at Jeff Anderson Hospital in Meridian. Formerly of Sand Ridge Community, she had been a resident of Newton for the past year. She was a member of the Sand Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Davis McGee, Newton; one son, Charles Adams, El Paso, TX; three daughters, Mrs. Shirley Stubbs, Birmingham, AL, Mrs. Christine Jones, Malvern, AK, Mrs. Linda Roncali, Newton; two sisters, Mrs. Abbie Jordan, Lake and Mrs. Essie Butts, Jackson; ten grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Gerald McGee, Joe McGee, Dewey Boles, Lindsey Shoemaker, Bussy Bill Clark, Danny McGee and Daniel Nester.
Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest was in charge of arrangements.
