Carl Manford Magnuson, a well known Kandota township farmer for 14 years, died at the Fairview Hospital, Minneapolis, Wednesday, Feb. 1, where he had been taken for treatment 10 days prior to his death.
He was born at Spring Garden, Goodhue county, Minn. Jan. 29, 1882, and at his death was 46 years and two days old. He grew to manhood in Goodhue county, and as a boy was baptised and confirmed in the Spring Garden Swedish Lutheran church.
He married Miss Inger Germunson, at the home of the bride's parent's, Cherry Grove, Goodhue county, June 28, 1905. Mr. and Mrs. Magnuson resided in Goodhue county until they moved to Kandota 14 years ago. The heart broken wife and six children are the immediate relatives left to mourn. The children are: Luella, Orville, Charles, Marcella, Merlin and Shirley. His aged mother is living and resides on the old home farm in Goodhue. There are three sisters and three brothers. They are: Albert, Ferdie, and Arthur Magnuson, all of Cannon Falls; the sisters are Mrs. Rudolph Pearson and Miss Esther Magnuson of Cannon Falls, and Mrs. Carl E. Carlson, of Chicago, Ill.
