Mike Walden, 67, of Bloomington, passed away Monday (April 9, 2018) at OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington. He was surrounded by family and friends.

Mike was born Jan. 31, 1951 in Bloomington, the son of Thomas and Betty Albertson Walden. He married Deborah Kretzer. She died in November 2009.

He is survived by four brothers, Richard, Towanda, George and Jimmy, both of Bloomington and Kenny, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, as well as several nieces and nephews.

His mother; father and five brothers and five sisters proceeded him in death.

Mike was employed by the Bloomington Housing Authority as a maintenance worker until his retirement in 2016. Mike was an avid sports fan.
