Born on November 13, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Marie (Donahue) Cooley. She lived on a farm with her parents and 10 siblings. She went to grade school at St. Mary's, Dunnington, IN, and graduated in 1946 at Freeland Park High School in Freeland Park, IN. She graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing in Kankakee, IL as a Registered Nurse.
She married John T. Wolanski in 1952 at West St. Paul, MN and obtained a civil divorce in 1959. He died in 1974. She married Harvey C. Wolfe on October 24, 1974 at St. Patrick's Church in Oxford, IN.
After she retired in 1990, her husband Harvey built a green house and later added a flower shop which they operated for many years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church of Oxford, IN and sang in the choir. She was a member of the National Catholic Nurses Association, National Catholic Society of Foresters, a past member of VFW Auxiliary and Calico Square Dancing Club. Besides her love of nursing, she enjoyed dancing, swimming, bowling fishing and playing cards.
Surviving is one daughter; one stepdaughter; one son-in-law; two sisters; four grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; sixteen great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Barbara Jean Jones; five brothers, Norbert, Bernard, Kenneth, David and Paul Cooley; three sisters, Aletha Reifel, Helen Budreau and Rosemary Budreau, two infant brothers; and grandson, Caleb Sheets.
She was a hard working devoted mother who gave her all into everyone she loved and everything she did. Visitation will be at St. Patrick's Church, Oxford, IN, from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 12, with Fr. Robert Klemme officiating. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Kentland, IN.
