William E. Lockwood, born on January 27,1938 in Potter County PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2018 surrounded by family and loved ones. He retired as chief from the Coast Guard after 21 years of service and also retired from Cheatham Annex with an additional 20 years.
Survived by is his wife, Brenda Lockwood; his daughters, Carol, Jeanie, Cindy, and Lorna; his son, Melvin; along with 12 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and family at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 6 - 7 PM. A graveside service will be held at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk at 2 PM on Tuesday, April 10, 2018.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Cheyenne River Indian Outreach.
