APRIL 1970 THE ARCADIAN;

OLIVER E. TISDALE;

Oliver Edgar Tisdale, 78, rural Arcadia, died in the DeSoto Memorial Hospital April 27 after a short illness. He was born in Kingstree, South Carolina March 29, 1892 and had lived in Arcadia since 1926. He was a member of the Arcadia Bethel Baptist Church.

He was a veteran of World War N. 1 and a member of the Arcadia V.F.W.

Survivors are his wife Bernice Tisdale of Arcadia, three sons, Weldon Tisdale of Arcadia, James Tisdale of Arcadia and Charles Tisdale of Pensacola; one daughter, Mrs Bernice Covengton of Indiatown;one brother, Ausie Tisdale of Kingstree, South Carolina; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren

Funeral Services were held April 29 at 2 p.m. from the Robarts-Grady Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Horace Burnger officiating, with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery. V.F.W. members served as pallbearers with Robarts-Grady Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
