Mrs Orelia Burks Bowden, 61, of 765 Park St SW, died Thursday morning at the ressidence after a short illness. She was the widow of Charles A Bowden.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Saturday at Spring Hill. Dr Harrison McMains will officiate. Burial will be in West View Cemetery.
A native of Ellenwood, she attended schools at Locust Grove and came to Atlanta following her marriage 30 years ago. She was a member of First Christian Church.
Surviving are a sister, Miss Alva Burks; two brothers, J L and W r Burks; a niece, Mrs J R Doll; two nephews, Alonzo and William E Burks and a great-niece, Nancy Burks, all of Atlanta.
