Edward Lee Silver, 77, Madison Heights, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018, at his residence.
He was the husband of Linda Hoke Silver.
He was born May 30, 1940, in Yancey County, NC, to the late Robert Edward Lee Silver and the late Maude Atkins.
He served our country in the United States Air Force, was a retired insurance agent for United Insurance Company of America and a long-time member of Temple Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Shawn Heath (Tonya) Silver (Tonya) of Madison Heights and Heather Alyce Silver (Steven) Mullins; step-son, Nathan Elliott (Lisa) Landis; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and seven siblings, Rowena Loyd, Jo Ramsey, Clarence Silver, Ethel (Rev. James) Crewe, Rebecca (Dennis) Corbin, Robert Lewis (Phyllis) Silver and Bruce Ray Silver.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Temple Baptist Church with the Pastor J. D. Surbaugh officiating.
Interment will follow at Hoke Cemetery in Covington (Alleghany County).
Arrangements are being handled by Loving Funeral Home.
