Services for Mrs. Koon, 79, of Lebanon, will be held Saturday, November 8, 1997, at 2 p.m. At Nave Funeral Home with the Reverend Donald Pharris and the Revs. W. L. Baker and Allen Buhler assisting. Burial will be in Wilson County Memorial Park.
Mrs. Koon, a housewife, died of a heart attack, on Thursday November 6, 1997 at University Medical Center after an illness of 3 weeks.
She was born May 24, 1918 in Dry Creek, Miss., daughter of the late Arnold Anderson and Virgie Grisham Anderson. She had resided in Lebanon since 1946 and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband Edgar Mark Koon, one sister and four brothers. Survivors include one son, Harmon (Linda) Koon, Nashville; granddaughter Teri (Ron) Patton; grandson Chris (Debbie) Koon; step-grandson Colin McAdoo; great-grandchildren Tyler and Brittany Patton, Kristen and Meredith Koon; brother Corbett Anderson, Mt. Juliet; sisters, Alverta Garrett, Leeville, Garmlia Crawford, Mt. Juliet, Juanita Mauney, Baldwin, Miss. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
