Mary “Mollie” Ayers was born in North Carolina in the mid 1850’s. Her husband was Bruce Ayers. They lived in Ardmore, Oklahoma Territory when their youngest children Anna Reta and Thomas Stanley were born in 1890 and 1895. Mollie became a widow by 1900, and she worked as a seamstress. She moved to the coast and lived in Morgan’s Point in 1910 and 1920 with her two children. Both children Anna and Thomas married and lived in Morgan’s Point with their own families. There is no marker for Mollie and her documentation is somewhat conflicting. Her last census was in 1920 in which her birth year was recorded as 1857.
