Beloved husband of Susan Drabik Hanko, father of Susan, Mitchell, John, Andrew, Thomas, Mike, Frank, George, Eleanor, Mary, Anna Mae, and Albert Hanko. His grandchildren who knew him as "Zedo" are too numerous to mention.

After coming from Czechoslovakia to the United States through Ellis Island, he worked many years in the coal mines of Pennsylvania and Illinois.

He was a man of courage and strength and a blessing to all those who knew him.
