He was born May 24, 1938 in Crothersville, IN, and was the son of the late Kenneth Bannister and Estelle Bannister.
He married Ellen Marie (Bressler) Bannister, who passed away on August 28, 2012.
Earnest was a U.S. Navy Veteran

Graveside Service: 12:00 Noon Monday, March 19, 2018 at Scottsburg Cemetery with Curtis White officiating.
Burial will be at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana. with full Military honors conducted by the American Legion Post # 234
