She left this life anxious to see her husband, Bill, and others awaiting to welcome her. "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies." - Prov. 31:10. Wanita was a life-long member of the Church of Christ where she taught many Bible classes and loved her church family.
She was born on June 13, 1922 in Borden to the late Clarence Henley and Etta Mae (McKinley) Conway.
Along with her parents, Wanita was also preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, William Roberts; son, Larry D. Roberts; and sister, Wresse Stout.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Patricia Hoke and her husband, Paul, Lonnie Roberts, Yvonne Koransky and her husband, Ralph, Wendy Roberts; grandchildren, Jason Hoke and his wife, Melanie, Jeffrey Hoke and his wife, Kim, Jerold Hoke and his wife, Kim, Rachel Matson and her husband, Jason, Rebecca Koransky; great-grandchildren, Jessica Shirley and her husband, Mike, Taylor, Michaela, Haleigh, Brayden and Alexis, Audrey, James, and Hunter Hoke, and Jason David Matson; great-great-grandchildren, Mikey and Jasmine Shirley; and numerous good family friends.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Justin Edelen and Trey Burkhart for their love, visits, and devotion in her golden years.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 10 a.m. at Charlestown Road Church of Christ (4601 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150). Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the church with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
