Funeral services for Wresse Hurst Stotts, 96, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 9, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Oak Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Lincoln Hills Healthcare Center. She was the former Wresse Conway, a native of Borden, where she was one of seven graduates in the first graduating class of Borden High School. She formerly owned and operated the Berta-Lynn Jewelry store in New Albany. Survivors include her sister, Wanita B. Roberts and her husband, William, of Borden; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; and foster children. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Farris P. Hurst; her second husband George W. Stotts; sons, James and Donald Hurst; and her daughter, Roberta M. Cadle. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 to 8 p.m. today. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
