In 1835, Peter King built a grist mill at the site of the old Harry Houghton house, just across from the Seville Sewerage Disposal Plant, on County Road 147 ... it was razed about 1849 by Aaron Lelan and C. W. Hay, who built a new mill in its place. This was later owned by Pelton and Calbetzer, then used as a cider mill for a while by Porter Crawford.
