TYREE, Verna Holloway Furcron, 100, of Richmond, widow of Albert Furcron and Linwood Tyree, passed away peacefully March 13, 2018. She is survived by her son, Eugene T. Furcron and his wife, Martha; two grandchildren, Daniel S. Furcron (Susan) and Rebecca F. Young (Frank); six great-grandchildren, Renee, Christen, Marti and Daniel Furcron and Savannah and Blake Young; two great-great-grandchildren, Christian and Brianna Broske; her sister, Mary Stanley; and numerous nieces and a nephew. Mrs. Tyree had been a member of the former Patterson Avenue Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 16. Interment will follow in Signal Hill Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Ms. Pitt and her staff at Covenant Columns Manor for their excellent care and attention.
