DARROUZETT - Henry G. Born, 99, died Thursday, April 5, 2007.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Russ Pollock officiating. Burial will be in Darrouzett Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton.
Mr. Born was born Feb. 1, 1909, in Russia to John George and Marie Katherine Born, and immigrated to this area in 1911 with his parents. He married Pauline Littau in March 1930.
Mr. Born was a farmer in Lipscomb County. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Darrouzett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 1987; and two sons, Irvin H. Born in 1993 and Floyd C. Born in 2006.
Survivors include five grandsons, Tony Born and wife Bonnie of Catoosa, Okla., Tim Born and wife Amy of Champaign Ill., Terry Born and wife Cindy of Maui, Hawaii, Scott Born and wife Christie of Ferris and Mark Born and wife Shelly of Ovilla; two granddaughters, Sandy Rich and husband Marvin of Rockwall and Dawn Minix and husband Jack of Ovilla; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Family visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m.Sunday at the funeral home.
The family suggest memorials be to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 401 Plummer, Darrouzett, TX 79024 or a favorite charity.
