He was born Aug. 24, 1912, in Harrisonburg, Rockingham County, Va., a son of the late Jacob and Minerva (Showalter) Blosser. On Dec. 25, 1946, in Fairview, Okla., he married the former Beulah Smith, who survives.
Abraham spent his youth and early adult years in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, having been engaged in agriculture and sheep shearing.
He was a member of Morningstar Congregation of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Mifflinburg. While living in Virginia, he was a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, in the Harrisonburg area.
After moving to the Mifflinburg area in 1965, he was engaged in various jobs until 1972. From 1972 until his retirement in 1990, he was employed at the Farm Bureau Feed Mill, Mifflinburg. Even after retirement, he stayed active, cutting firewood and doing occasional sheep shearing jobs for local farmers.
Mr. Blosser was an avid hobbyist and had a great interest in model trains. He accumulated many model sets through the years.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Dan J. Blosser of Mifflinburg and Dale L. and Cathy A. Blosser of Winfield; one grandson, Daylin Paul Blosser of Winfield; one sister, Martha Blosser of Selinsgrove; one brother and sister-in-law, Solomon and Hersie Blosser of Broadway, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Isaac Blosser, and four sisters, Rhoda, Mary and Rachael Blosser and Gurnie Peters.
Friends received by the family Saturday and on Sunday morning before the service at Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Morningstar Congregation, Beaver and Mensch roads, Mifflinburg, where funeral was held Sunday. John M. Kurtz, his pastor, Reuben S. Shirk and James E. Zimmerman, deacons of the congregation, and Elmer L. Swarey, visiting clergyman from Fleetwood, officiated.
Interment in Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Cemetery, Limestone Township, Union County.
