Richard L. Knaub, 96, of Bethany Village and formerly of Dillsburg, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, March 9, 2018.

He was born, June 5, 1921 in Grantham, PA the son of the late John H. & Mabel Smtih Knaub.

Richard was the widower of the late Kathryn J. (Smith) Knaub.

Richard was a member of Monaghan Presbyterian Church and loved to sing in the Choir. He was a longtime member and former Treasurer of the Dillsburg Lion's Club. After moving to Bethany Village in 2000, he became active in their wood working shop where he created and fixed items for the residents. Richard was also a WWII Navy Veteran having served from 1942 -1945. He retired from Lefever Brothers, Dillsburg, having worked as the Parts Manager for 41 ½ years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Ethel M. Albert Knaub. His daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Sam Thuma, of Harrisburg. His sister, Delores Dutill, of Philadelphia and His brother, Charles P. Knaub, of Dillsburg. His step-children: Diane & Donald Harlacker; Donna Thompson, Andrew & Jetsy Murray and Audrey & David Smith. 13 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sisters and brother: Margaret Shoffner, Inez Knaub and John Knaub.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, 1:00 pm, March 17th, 2018 at the Monaghan Presbyterian Church, 1185 Gettysburg Pike, Dillsburg, PA. There will be no viewing or visitation. Burial will follow the service in the Dillsburg Cemetery – Mountain Road.
