LuVerne "Vern" Chelte, of Minneapolis, MN was 90 years of age when he peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 9, 2018. Preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War, and was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Vern was a life-long member of the Catholic Church. As a member of the Men's Club for many years, he was pivotal in planning and organizing activities and events.
Vern had an exceptional way of connecting with people. This was evident in all of his relationships: family, friends, work and his church. All would agree that Vern’s infectious laugh, charm and winning smile captured the hearts of everyone who came into contact with him.
