NEWMAN, MRS. ADDIE ROSE - age 79, of Rt. 28, Old Sevierville Pike, passed away Thursday morning at her home. Member of New Hopewell Baptist Church, widow of the late W.D. Newman Sr. Preceded in death by a son W.D. Newman Jr. Survivors: son, Max Newman, Spartanburg; daughters: Lois Maples, Barbara Baty, Katherine Perryman, all of Knoxville; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Cauley Rose; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 11 am Saturday at Berry Chapel, Rev. Gary Swaggerty officiating. Internment New Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 pm Friday at Berry Funeral Home.
