Michael Mann Morgan, 67, of West Columbia, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at his home.

Funeral services are set for 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 17, 2018 in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home.

Mike was born on August 16, 1950 in Sweetwater, Texas to Wilbur “Buddy” Morgan and Jackie Mann Morgan. He was the first of two children. Mike enlisted with the National Guard and served his country for 6 years. He also attended East Texas State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Mike had a very rewarding career serving in law enforcement followed by a lengthy tenure with a Fortune 500 company, BASF.

Survivors include his mother, Jackie Mann Morgan of Paris, his sister, Mickey Reed and husband, Gerald of Clarksville, nephew Jason K. Burress and wife, Christina of Prosper, niece Letta Burger and husband, Adam of Roanoke; six great-nieces and nephews, Kate Hines, Klaire Hines, Kason Burger, Luke Burress, Morgan Burress, and Emerson Burress. He was preceded in death by his wife Jackie Abshire Morgan and his father Wilbur “Buddy” Morgan.

Honorary pallbearers include Jack Allen, Larry Hathorn, Johnny Patterson, Bill Moser, Duncan McMillan, Gerald Cartmill, Jeff Mann, Danny Easterwood and Bill Hicks.
