Services are Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at Hildreth, the Rev. Melvin Hagelberg officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his mother Mary Bunger of Hildreth and his widow, Kay; two sons, Alan and Dana both of the home; four sisters Edna Toblassen of Franklin, Minnie Eden of Hildreth, Marie Olson of Alma and Elnore Johnson of Hastings.
He was born and reared at Hildreth and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He farmed and later lived in Hildreth, working for the school system for seven years. He was employed at Upland Co-op at the time of his death.
Mr. Bunger was a member of the VFW and the Elks Lodge at Kearney.
