BIRTH: Mansfield was born on 20 Sep 1725 according to ML Driscoll, "Descendants of the NH MacDuffees", DAR, 1949, p.87.

MISC.: He fought in the French and Indian War and also at Bennington, along with Samuel McAfee (who was killed), in the Revolutionary War--in Capt. Reynolds company; he married Sarah Coburn Currier, widow of Thomas Currier, in 1787; Eben Currier, his step-son, was his heir. Henry Clay McDuffee, "McDuffee Family"; p.30; 1906.

Page 339 of the Londonderry Town Book mentions that he was in the Battle of Bennington in 1777.

DEATH: He died in April 1815 according to MLD, Ibid. p.87.
