"Mrs. Mary Magdalene Balthaser, 86 years old, widow of Jacob R. [sic] Balthaser, died Friday evening.
The surviving children are Howard and Thomas, Reading; John, Ephrata; William, Leinbachs; Mrs. Sallie Becker and Mrs. Emma Neirgen, Wyomissing.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Epler's Church, Berks county. Interment in the cemetery adjoining."

Lena, widow of Jacob Balthaser, a resident of Ephrata, died at Lititz [which is in Warwick township] on Friday, as the result of infirmities incident to her advanced age. She was 86 years old.
Surviving are four sons: Howard, Reading; John, Ephrata; William, Leinbachs, and Thomas, Friedensburg; two daughters: Emma, wife of Harvey Noecker, Wyomissing, and Sallie, wife of Alvin Becker, of the same borough, and one sister, Matilda Faust, Bern township. There are 24 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Epler's Church, with interment in the adjoining cemetery."
