William Brunnemann
Machinist at Carpet Mill
William Brunnemann of 281 Nepperhan Avenue, an Alexander Smith Inc machinist, died unexpectedly yesterday at his home, 281 Nepperhan Avenue.
Mr. Brunnemann, who would have been sixty-nine next month, was born July 27, 1884, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, son of the late Charles and Jane Platt Brunnemann. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at Bridgeport in 1906 and served until 1921, with a machinist's rating.
A machinist with the Smith carpet mills more than 30 years, Mr. Brunnemann entered the firm's employ after his honorable discharge from the Navy. He was a member of the Textile Workers' Union, CIO.
His wife is the former Anna Bednar, whom he married in 1920 at Most Holy Trinity Church here. Surviving, too, are a daughter, Miss Jane Ann Brunnemann, also of the home address, and a number of nephews and nieces in Connecticut.
