Virginia Roush

MARENGOVirginia Pauline Roush, age 88, of Marengo, died Friday night, Feb. 16, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Oct. 30, 1929, in Pomeroy, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Abbie Mae Virginia (Starkey) Durst.

Virginia was a graduate of Pomeroy High School and Cosmetology School in Columbus. She attended Trinity Church of Pomeroy and the Alum Creek Friends Church.

She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing cards, especially Rummy and will be remembered for her love of her pets and her great sense of humor; she was quite the jokester.

She leaves behind a legacy of love for her children and many grandchildren.

She will be missed by her son, John and his wife Leah of Marengo; daughters, Deborah Quidgeon and her husband Joseph of Uncasville, Connecticut, Connie Jackson of Athens, Georgia, Lauretta Kay Campbell and her husband Ronald of Belleview, Florida, and Sheila Williamson and her husband Mark of Houston, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; son, Billy; daughters, Susan Hollowell and Jacqueline Roush; grandsons, Matthew Quidgeon and Mark Jackson; sisters, Lucille Roush and Edna Slusher; and two infant brothers, Carl William Durst and Earl John Durst.

Friends may call on the family on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive, Delaware, Ohio 43015, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at Yauger Cemetery in Leon, West Virginia, Wednesday at 1 p.m.
