She was born May 22, 1914, in Pomeroy, and was the daughter of the late William John and Abbie (Starkey) Durst.

After graduating from Pomeroy High School with the class of 1933, she worked for a time at the Ben Franklin store. It was during this time that she met her late husband, H. Kenneth. In 1948, they moved to Marion from Gallipolis.

She taught Sunday school and junior church for several years and enjoyed teaching the children about the Lord.
A devoted wife and loving mother, she will be sadly missed by her family.

Surviving are one son, Donald (Marvalee) Roush of Sanford, N.C.; three daughters, Janet and Lois Roush of Marion and Betty Roush of Youngtown, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Matthew Roush and Mrs. Nicole (Jamie) Smith, both of Raleigh, N.C.; and one sister, Pauline Roush of Marengo.
