Funeral services for Edith Keck Stone will be held at 4 P.M. Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Masonic Cemetery in Seymour, Texas, with Dr. David Warren, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiating.
Edith Ann Seals Keck Stone was born November 27, 1915 to Garrett Allen Russell Seals and Effie Lee Fortenberry Seals. On December 9, 1936, Edith married Robert Edward Keck. They welcomed their daughter Janice Darlene Keck on November 27, 1937. Edith and Bob owned a ranch in Seymour, Texas where they lived and worked. Bob passed away on December 13, 1989. Edith moved to Wichita Falls, where she met and married Roy Stone. They lived happily until his death on November 22, 2004. Edith then moved to Lubbock where she lived with her daughter, Janice Darlene Ellison and granddaughter, Donna D'Lynn Ellison.
Edith was also preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Darlene on February 16, 2016; by 8 of her sisters, Silvie Lee, who died at 12 months, Le Nona Seals Crain, Doris Evelyn Seals McBryde, Lavada Seals Bradford, Rebecca Seals Hicks, Betty Lou Seals Peeler, Bonnie Sue Seals McDonald; and her brothers, Garrett Willoughby Seals, Foster Marion Seals, and Jackie La Foy Seals.
Edith is survived by her sister, Billie Jo (Joan) Mauk of Las Vegas, Nevada; granddaughter,
Deveron Diana Ellison of Dallas, granddaughter, Donna D'Lynn Ellison of Lubbock, and numerous nieces and nephews.
